What is reversible air conditioning?

A reversible air conditioning system can both cool the air inside your home during the summer and heat it during the winter. This system allows you to switch from air conditioning mode to heating mode so that you can enjoy the ideal room temperature all year round. There are many models available to suit your needs and type of home. A reversible air conditioning system operates in air conditioning mode using a compressor and a refrigerant contained in your unit. To cool the ambient air, the system captures the heat contained in the air and sends it outside. Conversely, when the air conditioner is in heating mode, it captures warm particles from outside and then distributes them inside.

We offer the installation of reversible air conditioners equipped with Inverter technology, which allows for smooth distribution of hot or cold air without the need to restart. This provides a more fluid air flow and consumes much less energy than conventional air conditioning.

This system is slightly more expensive but very efficient and presents less risk of breakdowns and maintenance constraints.

Installing a reversible air conditioning system will therefore allow you to enjoy greater comfort on a daily basis while making real energy savings. As part of a complete renovation of a property, you may also consider carrying out external insulation work (ITE) to improve the energy performance of your home.

What are the different methods of installing air conditioning offered by our team?

Depending on the layout of your home and the type of renovation work you are carrying out, you can choose between different types of installation: wall mounting or ducted installation. Each of these methods involves a different technique and installation method.

Wall mounting in monosplit or multisplit configurations

As the name suggests, this type of installation involves mounting your air conditioning system directly on the wall. Split air conditioning systems consist of one unit or block (monosplit) or several units (multi-split) inside the home and one unit outside.

Ducted installation

A ducted air conditioning system consists of an outdoor unit and an indoor unit. The unique feature of a ducted air conditioning system is that the indoor unit is concealed in the ceiling, walls or attic space, where possible. The air is distributed through ducts. The main advantage of this type of air conditioning system is that it is very quiet and distributes air throughout the entire house.

When installing this type of system during a renovation, construction and masonry work is often necessary in order to cut channels into the walls, for example.

Installation is carried out by our team and commissioning is performed by the manufacturer.
